Christmas tradition above the Lech Valley
The croissant market at Hofhegnenberg Castle
When the inner courtyard of Schloss Hofhegnenberg is bathed in a warm glow of lights and the aroma of freshly baked croissants and spices wafts through the walls, a very special Advent season begins. The Kipferlmarkt at Schloss Hofhegnenberg is more than just a Christmas market - it is a place of encounters, tradition and lived charity.
In the historic setting of the castle courtyard, visitors from the region come together every year to experience the pre-Christmas period in a conscious and relaxed way. Lovingly decorated stalls, handmade delicacies from the castle kitchen and warming mulled wine create an atmosphere reminiscent of times gone by.
What makes the Kipferlmarkt special, however, is its social concept: all proceeds go to charity. Thanks to the commitment of the castle owners and numerous helpers, concrete help is provided where it is needed - directly, personally and sustainably.
The Kipferlmarkt at Schloss Hofhegnenberg combines Christmas tradition with social responsibility and shows how a small, fine market can have a big impact.
