For over 20 years, the Kipferlmarkt in the courtyard of Schloss Hofhegnenberg has been an integral part of the Advent season in the region. What once began as a small initiative has developed into one of the most popular pre-Christmas markets between Munich and Augsburg. Year after year, the castle courtyard is transformed into an atmospheric meeting place full of lights, music and fragrant delicacies - always with one clear aim: all proceeds go to social and charitable causes.

A special centrepiece of the market are the famous vanilla crescents, which are traditionally baked according to secret family recipes. Preparations start weeks in advance in the castle kitchen - with a lot of manual labour, commitment and support from the whole family. In addition to home-baked biscuits, visitors can expect a lovingly organised Advent market, musical accompaniment, activities for children, church services and guided tours. The Kipferlmarkt is therefore much more than just a Christmas market: it is a living tradition, community and social commitment at Hofhegnenberg Castle.
